About Ask A Teacher
Ask A Teacher is a specialist mentoring, study skills, coaching and wellbeing service delivered by The Learning Corner Ltd, a company established in 2024 with a commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
Our journey began with a simple observation: too many people were being offered support that prioritised processes over people. Through lived experience of accessing study skills support in higher education, followed by years of working as a specialist study skills tutor and mentor, we saw first-hand the difference that truly personalised support can make - and the gap that exists when services are driven by referrals rather than relationships.
That experience became the foundation of Ask A Teacher. Our founder, a qualified teacher with over 15 years in education and specialist support - SEN and SEMH, personally oversees every referral to ensure students receive tailored, high-quality support from the outset.
Today, we've supported thousands of students to overcome barriers, develop confidence and achieve their academic goals. Building on that success, we've expanded our services to support apprentices, higher education learners, professionals and organisations through specialist mentoring, coaching, study skills and wellbeing support.
Our team brings together expertise across education, higher education, SEND, mentoring, coaching and professional development. We believe that no two people are the same, which is why every programme of support is designed around the individual, not a standard template.
Everything we do is guided by a person-centred philosophy. We take the time to understand each individual's strengths, aspirations and challenges before creating practical, evidence-informed support that delivers meaningful, lasting outcomes.
