The Learning corner Ltd, trading as Ask A Teacher is a specialist education and support service, a company established in 2024 with a commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
We provide specialist mentoring, study skills support, coaching, wellbeing services, helping students progress through different stages of their education and professional lives.
Our journey began with a simple observation: too many people were being offered support that prioritised processes over people. Through lived experience of accessing study skills support in higher education, followed by years of working as a specialist study skills tutor and mentor, we saw first-hand the difference that truly personalised support can make - and the gap that exists when services are driven by referrals rather than relationships.
That experience became the foundation of Ask A Teacher.
Our founder, a qualified teacher with over 15 years' experience across education and specialist support, including SEN and SEMH, personally oversees our services to ensure that students and clients receive tailored, high-quality support from the outset.
Today, we've supported thousands of students to overcome barriers, develop confidence and achieve their academic goals. Building on that experience, Ask A Teacher now supports learners throughout their educational journey - from school tuition and examination preparation to higher education, university admissions, specialist study support, mentoring and professional development.
We provide specialist, individualised support to students and learners who may benefit from additional help navigating education, training or the workplace.
Our work includes specialist NMH mentoring, study skills, coaching and wellbeing support, with a strong emphasis on confidence, independence, executive functioning, organisation, resilience and developing practical strategies that can be used beyond individual sessions.
We also support apprentices, higher education learners, professionals and organisations through tailored mentoring, coaching and professional development.
